“The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice”

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Civil Rights Leader

The Mike and Dave Show

Band

Gets a special mention because they were put into the latest edition of Radio H. Yet there is a shortage of online material on them. If you get the chance they are definitely worth a listen.

Richard Prince

Artist and Photographer

I was first attracted to his ”marlboro series“ where he re-photographed and blew up marlboro cigarette ad imagery. His recent book is wonderful.

Stephen Shore

Photographer

I stumbled into Mr. Shore's show in Chelsea and didn't leave for an hour. Many of the photos are of banal subject matter, like used car lots, but the composition and especially the highly saturated colors make for moving work.

American Splendor

Movie

Unbelievably good. The filmmakers combine documentary, drama and comic strip illustration in this engrossing film.

Jasper Goodall

Illustrator

I'm a huge fan of his style.

Tim Hope

Video Director

Mr. Hope is a British video and commercial director with a beautiful style that combines live action, illustration, model making and stop motion.

School of Rock

Movie

Really fun and surprisingly good...would have been even better without the indulgent second ending.

Neutral Milk Hotel

Band

One of my latest favs...check out their track on Radio H.

James Victore

Designer, Illustrator

You've probably seen Victore's amazing posters at some time or another...check out his site

Steve Reich

American Composer

One of the foremost leaders in minimalist music. His compositions are inspired by international influences and span numerous styles. Very meditative music.

Quatsi Trilogy

Films, 1983-2002

The collabration of Godfrey Reggio and Philip Glass. A stunning audio visual comentary on the effects of technology on humans and the environment.
